Detailed information on all services offered by KESSLER on this website can be found under "Individual services of this privacy statement".

1.2 Data that we receive through your use of our services

  • The IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Web page from which access is made (referrer URL)

Those data are used by us in the following way:

  • To ensure smooth connection between your PC and our website server
  • To ensure our website functions as expected
  • To evaluate system security and stability.

These data are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)f General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest as defined there arises from the above list of grounds for the data collection. Under no circumstances will we use the data collected to identify you.

2 Use of cookies

2.1 Definitions

The data processed by the cookies for the purposes listed above are the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)f GDPR.

You can use your browser to display the cookies available on your computer, delete existing cookies or to set up the configuration so that not all or no cookies at all are stored. These interests are considered to be "legitimate interests" as defined in the provisions cited above.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tools.

3.1 Google Analytics

To enable us to optimise the way our website works, and to optimise it continually, we use Google Analytics, a web analytical tool supplied by Google Inc. ( policies.google.com/privacy ) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA hereinafter referred to as "Google"). In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are generated and cookies used. The information generated by the cookies relating to your use of the site is as follows:

  • Browser type/version
  • Your operating system
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited website)
  • Host name of the accessing PC (IP address )
  • Time of the server request

and this information is transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide additional services related to the use of the website and the internet for the purposes of market research and to optimise the way our website works. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where this is legally required, or where third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will under no circumstances associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. For this purpose the IP address of your computer is stored in an anonymised form (IP masking) to prevent such association.
You can adjust the settings of your browser to prevent the installation of cookies; however, we would like to point out that, if you do, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie for the use of the website (including your IP address) from being sent to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
As an alternative to the browser add-on, in particular in the case of browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent Google Analytics collecting data by clicking this link. This stores an opt-out cookie which will prevent your data being stored on future visits to this site. That opt-out cookie will apply only to that browser and only for our website, and will be stored on that device. If you delete the cookies in that browser, you will have to install the opt-out cookie again.
Additional information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics help section ( support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245 ).

3.2 Google AdWords

We have integrated Google AdWords on this website. Google AdWords is an Internet advertising service that allows advertisers to show advertisements both in Google's search engine results and on the Google advertising network. Google AdWords allows an advertiser to pre-define keywords that will be used to display an advertisement in Google's search engine results only when the user uses the search engine to retrieve a keyword-relevant search result. In the Google advertising network, the advertisements are distributed to relevant websites by means of an automatic algorithm, taking into account the previously defined keywords. The provider of this AdWords service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. The purpose of Google AdWords is to promote our website by displaying interest-relevant advertisements on third-party websites and in the search results of the Google search engine, and by displaying third-party advertisements on our website. If a data subject accesses our website via a Google advertisement, a conversion cookie is stored by Google on that person's computer system. We have already explained above what cookies are. A conversion cookie expires after thirty days and does not serve to identify the data subject. If the conversion cookie has not yet expired, it is used to track whether certain subpages, such as the shopping basket of an online shop system, have been accessed from our website. Through the conversion cookie, both we and Google can track whether a person who came to our website via an AdWords advertisement generated a transaction, i.e. completed a purchase or cancelled.
The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie is used by Google to compile visit statistics for our website. These visit statistics are in turn used by us to determine the total number of users referred to us via AdWords advertisements, i.e. to determine the success or failure of the respective AdWords advertisement and to optimise our AdWords advertisements for the future. Neither our company nor any other Google AdWords advertisers will receive any information from Google that could identify the data subject.
Conversion cookies are used to store personal details, such as the websites visited by the data subject. As a result, each time you visit our website, personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by you, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. These personal data are stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may share any personal information collected through these technical processes with third parties.
The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as described above, at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of your Internet browser will also prevent Google from storing a conversion cookie on your computer. In addition, any cookies already stored by Google AdWords can be deleted at any time through your Internet browser or other software programs.
Any data subject has the opportunity to object to interest-related advertising by Google. To do so, the data subject must access the link www.google.de/settings/ads from any of the Internet browsers they use and make the desired settings there.
